Exotic Alloys Alloy A286 Flanges Overview
Zeon Exports supplies Exotic Alloy A286 (UNS S66286) flanges, an iron-nickel-chromium precipitation-hardening superalloy combining high strength with good oxidation resistance up to 704°C, for aerospace, gas turbine and oil & gas piping.
Exotic Alloy A286 Flanges connect and seal high-temperature, high-strength process piping in gas turbine and oil & gas systems. Its titanium-driven precipitation hardening gives high tensile and yield strength while retaining good oxidation resistance in continuous service up to 704°C, making it a preferred choice wherever standard stainless steel lacks sufficient high-temperature strength.
- Age-hardened via titanium for very high strength
- Tensile ≥895 MPa, yield ≥655 MPa in Class A condition
- EN 10204 3.1 certified, export-ready worldwide

Corrosion Resistance of Exotic Alloy A286
- Exotic Alloy A286 Flanges combine corrosion resistance with high strength retained at elevated temperature.
- Oxidation resistance: stable in continuous service up to 816°C and intermittent service up to 982°C.
- Pitting and crevice resistance: chromium content gives moderate resistance similar to austenitic stainless steel.
- Non-magnetic: remains non-magnetic even after severe cold working, useful near magnetic-sensitive equipment.
Heat Resistance of Exotic Alloy A286
Exotic Alloy A286 flanges perform reliably in continuous service up to roughly 704°C (1,300°F), with oxidation resistance extending to 816°C continuous and 982°C intermittent exposure. Confirm the exact heat treatment condition and service limits against the governing standard before specifying.
